Terms of Service.

Welcome. Curated Closet ("the Service") is provided by Curated Belonging ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, please don't use the Service — but do email us; we'd love to know why.

1. Who can use the Service

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher).
• You must provide accurate account information.
• During beta, access is by invitation only. Sharing an invitation code with someone who wasn't invited violates these terms.

2. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your password secret and your device secure.
• If you sign in with Google, you're also bound by Google's terms for that identity.
• Tell us right away if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of every photo, item, note, measurement, and message you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to show your closet on your other devices, to generate a background-removed cutout, or to let Donna reference your items in a suggestion). We don't use your content to train third-party AI models and we don't sell it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, sexually explicit, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Upload another person's photo without their consent (this includes your body-photo feature).
• Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service.
• Use the Service to build a competing product, or to scrape data at scale.
• Share your invitation code, your admin credentials, or your paid subscription with anyone else.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI-generated content ("Donna," Virtual Try-On, background removal)

The Service uses AI to generate outfit suggestions, background-removed cutouts, and virtual try-on images. AI is helpful but imperfect. Suggestions and images are provided "as-is" and may be inaccurate, unflattering, or reflect societal bias. You are responsible for your final choices. We do not guarantee any particular outfit, fit, style, or aesthetic outcome.

6. Beta status

• The Service is currently in beta. Features may change, break, be added, or be removed at any time.
• During beta, virtual try-on is limited to 10 free renders per account. Additional credits are available via subscription or credit packs.
• Beta testers receive their beta pricing locked in for the life of the subscription, per the promise on our upgrade page.

7. Payments and subscriptions

• Paid plans and credit packs are billed via Stripe. Prices, features, and limits are shown at checkout and inside the app.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the app's subscription page; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled case-by-case in good faith — email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll take care of it.

8. Our intellectual property

The app, "Donna," the name "Curated Closet," "Curated Belonging," the wordmark, the design system (colors, typography, layout), and all associated content that isn't yours belongs to Curated Belonging. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission.

9. Termination

You can delete your account any time from your profile — we'll remove your data within 30 days per our Privacy Policy. We can suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security or legal risk. When practical, we'll tell you why.

10. Disclaimers and limits of liability

The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $50 USD. Some jurisdictions don't allow this limit — where that's the case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount local law allows.

11. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Franklin County, Ohio — you and we both consent to that venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make a substantive change, we'll update the Effective date above and notify active accounts by email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
